Craig Womack took 1st Place honors at the HawgWild Bassmasters tournament on the Upper Chesapeake Bay. Craig crushed the other club members with a 5-fish limit that went 16.15 lbs. The closest angler to Craig was newcomer, Danny, who had two fish that went 5.29 lbs. Only 6 club anglers were able to land a fish that met the 15" minimum length. Ed Parker finished behind Danny, followed by Bill Easter, Arvelt Cook and Travis Crowder. The club launched from Tydings Marina at Harve de Grace. Craig and a couple of club members chose to make the trip across the Bay to the Eastern side of the Bay. The ride over was smooth and uneventful. However, as the winds increased throughout the day, they knew that things would be rocky on the trip back. Sure enough, there were right. Ed suffered damage to his trolling motor, Easter lost his butt seat ( and almost his nerves), and Craig speared a wave and had to spend 5 minutes pumping water before he could get back on plane. In the end, all returned safely. For complete results click on file to left of photos.
